The Rutherfords were my parent's neighbors and friends from White Bear Lake. Actually, from when we lived in Iowa as well. Both my father and Mr. Rutherford were life-long 3M-ers, and both transferred from the Knoxville, Iowa plant to the St. Paul headquarters in the 1970s. I babysat their youngest son a few times.
Whenever I make this lasagna, it tastes delish but it is quite saucy. 😉
